It is not uncommon for a Fancy Pink Vivid diamond to be in excess of $1,000,000.00 dollars for a one carat size. Blue, one of the rarest colors in nature recently fetched over $8,000,000.00 for a 6.04 carat diamond. Yellow, the most popular color of all Fancy Colored Diamonds is still extremely rare as evidenced by a sale at Sotheby’s for a 3.71 carat stone for almost $250,000.00. And the rarest Fancy color without question is red. It is so rare that there are believed to be less than 20 red diamonds in the world today and they may be actually priceless.
