A Created, Cultured or Laboratory-grown diamond is a diamond that has the identical optical, physical and chemical properties as a mined diamond with point of origin being the only distinction. Q - How are Lab Grown Diamonds Created?
A - JewelNet.com does not create diamonds. The diamonds are created when carbon in the form of graphite is submitted to the same extreme temperatures and pressures that exist 100 miles below the earth’s surface just as in nature diamond crystals are formed. A Lab Grown diamond is a diamond that is grown from a small diamond seed, under the same conditions that natural diamonds grow in the earth. The diamond seed is placed in an environment that contains carbon, the molecular component of diamonds. After applying tremendous pressure and very high temperatures, under highly controlled conditions, the small diamond seed begins to grow, molecule by molecule, layer by layer, emulating nature’s process.
